Spotted Lanternfly Update
In September of 2019, there was a living, adult spotted lanternfly
(SLF) in Davis, California. The find is unofficial and does not mean there is
an established population in the state. Up until this point, the only SLF found
in California have been dead insects found in cargo at airports. SLF is an
invasive plant hopper that feeds on more than 70 host species including a wide
range of agricultural commodities.
